According to AviVector's profile, monitoring the operation of Russian aviation, 2 Russian Tu-22M3 bombers escorted by Su-30 and Su-35 fighters conducted a training flight on 22 January at the Baltic Sea. At least 1 of the machines was equipped with a Ch-22 maneuvering rocket - a plan rocket designed to combat American aircraft groups. For this purpose, the rocket was never used, but was regularly fired on targets in Ukraine. These rockets are characterized by advanced flight velocity and are in themselves a hard mark to be shot down by air defence means.
