In the shadow of the war in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin is making a key decision on Africa's geopolitical chessboard. The Kremlin is finalizing an agreement with Sudan that will supply the Russian Navy with permanent access to 1 of the world's most crucial trade routes. Reports by the American regular "The Wall Street Journal", quoted m.in by Polish media, indicate a turn in Russian-Sudanese relations. The military authorities of Sudan, plunged into a bloody civilian war, have decided to take a bold step: in exchange for military support, they are beginning their ports to the Russian fleet.
