Iranian leader to be appointed within 2 days

Iranian MP Mohsen Zangeneh reported on Friday that the fresh ultimate spiritual and political leader of Iran is to be appointed within 2 days.

He added that both of the final candidates "would not welcome this position".

The erstwhile leader – Ayatollah Ali Chamenei, was killed along with his closest colleagues in the US-Israeli raid on February 28, creating a power vacuum unprecedented in the 47-year past of the muslim Republic. Chamenei was simply the second individual to service as the ultimate leader.
