Maddison Inglis achieved the top success in her career, reaching the 1/8th Australian Open final, where on Monday she surrendered to Igie Christmas 0:6, 3:6. 28-year-old Australian, 168th in the WTA ranking, after the match she admitted that part of the financial award would be allocated to... toaster.
Small household appliances, which can be utilized to make tasty toasts, have long been the subject of dreams of a player who very much likes kitchen equipment. To date, Inglis has not been able to afford high-end equipment for financial reasons. Thanks to her successful performance at the Australian Open Inglis, she has provided herself with almost $330,000 in prize, almost a 4th of what she has earned in the last 10 years.
She assured that winning money would invest not only in kitchen equipment, but besides career improvement and better support at the competition. Her next dream is to buy a car.
