President Karol Nawrocki took part in the celebrations commemorating the anniversary of the outbreak of planet War II on Westerplatte. The president recalled the issue of war reparations from Germany.
Karol Nawrocki pointed out that good partnerships between countries require truth: – In order to be able to build the foundation of fact and good relations, the partnership must deal with the issue of reparations from the German state, which as president of Poland I request unequivocally for the common good," said the President.
The president pointed out that Poland as a front-end state and the most crucial link of the east flank of NATO needs justice, and relations with Germany should be clear – reparations are the key issue.
The president besides expressed hope that his efforts for reparations would be supported by the government side: "I believe that the Prime Minister and the Polish Government will strengthen the President's voice on the global phase and build our real safe future together with our western neighbours," said Karol Nawrocki.
