President Karol Nawrocki, who finished his visit to the United States on Sunday, is to inform the Constitutional Court of the actions of the Constitutional Tribunal on his return to the country.
During a two-day working visit to Dallas, USA, the president of Poland took part, among others, in the Conference of Conservative Political Action (CPAC), at which he gave the speech. On Sunday, he met with Polonia in Dallas and this was the last point of the visit.
The head of the President's global Policy Bureau Marcin Przycz, who accompanied the president in his visit to the US, said that president Karo Nawrocki is examining the situation related to the TK. At the same time, he added that he did not want to "be a preemptive origin for the President's decisions at this point."
– We all know precisely what the Constitution says, what the law says. In order to be a judge, you gotta make a vow to the President, so in this sense the decision of the president will be crucial here," he said.
He stressed that there was correspondence between the Chancellery of the president and the Chancellery of the Sejm. He added that the NRP "sees any illegal or without legal basis". “This will have a bearing on the President’s final decision,” said Marcin Przycz.
In his view, the behaviour of the ruling majority over the last 1,5 years "allows much to be desired in terms of the regulation of law".
On Friday, before his journey to the US, president Rafał Leśkiewicz said that the president would inform about his actions concerning the Constitutional Court on his return from the US.
