President Andrzej Duda reported that his gathering with the talker of the Sejm Simon Holovnia did not occur, even though he himself was ready and offered various hours of conversation. As he added, he sees it as a "retreat" from the meeting.

Before his successor, Karol Nawrocki, was sworn in, president Andrzej Duda informed about the gathering with Holovnia last week. Monday's interview with Duda-Hołownia in a conversation on Radio Wnet was later confirmed by president Margaret Paprock's chief Chancellery – but yet it did not happen.

The gathering was proposed by the marshal himself, at the time erstwhile changes in government were made here in the Presidential Palace (...). The marshal asked me that it would be good to meet again before the fresh president was sworn in, and then we initially decided to meet. said Andrzej Duda in a Monday interview at Polsat News.

Later there was a celebrated interview by the marshal, who, in my opinion, made the gathering not only necessary, but besides essential in fact, due to the fact that I wanted to talk to him about it. But present we heard that even though this Monday date was confirmed, the gathering would not happen. – he added.

When questioned whether the talker of the Sejm withdrew from the meeting, Duda replied that he understood it that way. He reserved that the invitation was "formally formulated". He besides stressed that he was himself ready for a gathering and convinced that he would meet with Holovnia before noon, and erstwhile this failed, he asked if "other hours" would be possible. – Turns out there won't be a meeting. He said.

We've seen what's been going on in the last fewer days, and we've besides seen problems that the marshal had after an interview where he said about the coup, and then he pulled out. I realize he's in a hard position with his political allies. said Duda.

At the end of July, Holovnia said in Polsat News that he was repeatedly suggested to hold the swearing-in of Karol Nawrocki as president and thus to carry out a “state coup”. erstwhile asked who made these proposals to him, he spoke of people who "did not like the result of the presidential election."

Last week, a spokesperson for the Warsaw territory Attorney's Office Proc. Piotr Antoni Skiba told PAP that in the coming days or weeks a proceeding of the talker of the Sejm was planned as a witness on his words; the application to the prosecutor's office was addressed by Mr Bartosz Lewandowski.

– Nie is no secret that (...) different people come to you marshal, and politicians, and various alleged experts or representatives of different alleged legal elites (...) and in various ways effort to convince him of various things “The president pointed out that Holowna’s words from the interview had to be “a certain expression of what was due to these talks.”
