A punishment in Niger
At the end of July, there was a military coup in Niger. Rebellious officers arrested president Bazoum, a close ally of France. The economical Community of the West African States has condemned the coup and threatened a defunct military intervention. However, neighboring Mali and Burkina Faso announced that they would stand up for the junta from Niger. Moscow was rapidly involved, and Evgeny Prigozhyn, offered services for Wagner Group mercenaries to the recluses.
