How Russia sees war [PART I]

"Hybrid warfare" and "next-generation warfare are sometimes utilized to describe the same Russian actions, although these terms have different sources and do not denote 2 clearly defined, authoritative doctrines. The erstwhile has been shaped primarily in the Western analysis of combining different tools of warfare, while the second has emerged in the Russian military debate on the future nature of conflicts. This discrimination is crucial for the explanation of the war against Ukraine and Russia's actions in Poland and another European countries: it allows us to separate Russian military considerations from Western analytical categories, and at the same time to measure circumstantial operations on the basis of their agency, goals and connections.
