Soleymani's death – 3 years later

On January 3, 3 years have passed since the assassination of Iranian General Solejmani (Head of the elite Ghods Force) by the Americans. On this occasion, I prepared a peculiar article, in which I introduced the character of Solejmani and the impact it had on the region. In the text, I besides leaned over the character Muhandis, who died with Solejmani. Muhandis may not have been as celebrated as the Soleymani, but at the time of his death he was definitely 1 of the more influential pro-Iranist organization figures in Baghdad.

ISRAEL

Ben Gwir on the Temple Hill

Itamar Ben-Gwir, Minister of the Interior in the fresh government of Netanyahu, appeared last week at the Temple Hill. The place is under the control of Jerusalem's Wakfu, subject to Jordan, but any Israeli politicians have been claiming rights to this place for years, which occupies a peculiar place in both Judaism, Islam and Christianity.

Ben-Gwir appeared at the Temple Hill early in the morning, and his visit lasted just a fewer minutes. As a result, there was no conflict with the Palestinians. However, Ben-Gwir's visit sparked a diplomatic scandal. His visit was condemned not only by the Palestinian Authority or Jordanian authorities, but even by the UAE.

UAE diplomats did not halt at protests. Together with the Chinese, they requested a peculiar UN safety Council gathering on Ben-Gwir's visit and the Temple Hill Statute. The UAE consequence is interesting due to 2 issues. First of all, the UAE signed the alleged Abraham Agreement with Israel in 2020 and was very curious in close economical and military cooperation. In addition, the UAE is considered a close ally of the U.S. – in this case it has made a joint proposal with China, which one more time points to China's dynamic increasing function not only in the U.S.A., but throughout the Persian Gulf and the mediate East.

Ben-Gwir is 1 of the Netanyahu coalitions. Together with Becall Smotrich, he is 1 of the most right-wing politicians in the fresh government. Both Ben-Gwir and Smotricz are in favour of changing the current position quo and extending Israel's power to areas administered by the Palestinians. This is not only about Jerusalem, but besides about the West Bank.

The Netanjah Government proposes improvement of the ultimate Court

Israeli Justice Minister Jariv Lewin announced improvement plans to rebuild the judiciary strategy and restrict the power of the ultimate Court.

One proposal from the Ministry of Justice is to give Kneset the right to reject the ruling by the ultimate Court by the smallest majority, 61 votes out of 120.

The Israeli opposition criticises the idea, claiming that the law can be utilized to cancel a possible Netanjah judgement in which corruption is inactive pending.

Netanjah Government and Ukraine

Israeli abroad Minister Eli Cohen, asked about the conflict in Ukraine, said, “One thing is certain that we will talk little about it in public.”

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham criticized Cohen's words. He was besides co-edited by another members of legislature – both Republicans and Democrats.

“I hope Mr Cohen understands that erstwhile he talks to Russian Lavrow, he talks to a typical of a criminal government that commits industrial-scale war crimes all day,” Graham tweeted.

Netanjah's return to power means that any greater Israel's assistance to Ukraine is very unlikely. Bibi has a close relation with the Kremlin and will surely not want to throw it away. Especially since 1 of his government's priorities is to fight Iran, and for that it needs Moscow and Russian intelligence on the situation in Syria.

The Chinese want to mine Afghan oil, but are you sure?

The Taliban signed an agreement with Beijing on the basis of which the Chinese state-owned company CNPC is to launch oil extraction in northern Afghanistan. This is simply a de facto renewal of the agreement that the pro-American government of Afghanistan concluded with the Chinese in 2011.

The first deal was never fulfilled. The Chinese started working on the extraction, but inactive in 2013 they suspended the project.

Afghanistan has a very rich stock of natural materials, but the instability of the country makes it hard to extract them. This is besides the case for Chinese investments. Beijing fears that the Taliban will not be able to guarantee the safety of Chinese workers. specified concerns are as real as possible, e.g. in late 2022, militants of the muslim State attacked a hotel in Kabul, where Chinese entrepreneurs stayed.

EGYPT

Helicopters for Egypt

The American army has signed a contract with Boeing to build 12 CH-47F Chinook helicopters, which are intended to land in Egypt.

Perhaps this is only the first part of the contract due to the fact that Egypt had previously announced that it was curious in buying 24 CH-47F Chinook machines.

Although Egypt is an crucial ally of the United States, since the 2013 military coup and the dismissal of president Morsi from power, U.S. arms supplies to Egypt have been very problematic. Americans with quite a few reserve approach specified agreements, accusing the authorities in Cairo of violating human rights – estimated about 60,000 political prisoners are in Egyptian prisons.

Weapons transfer problems from the United States, caused the Egyptians at 1 point to effort to buy equipment from the Russians. However, then the Americans threatened Cairo with sanctions under the CAATSA Act – the same bill provided the basis for imposing sanctions on Turkey for purchasing Russian S-400 systems.

Saudi Arabia

The Americans and the Sauds are playing for 1 goal again.

The Wall Street Journal, citing sources in Washington and Riyadh, claims that relations between the US and Saudi Arabia have improved importantly in fresh weeks. The price of petrol in the US has fallen importantly – compared to the situation in the 1920s. Head of Diplomacy of the UAE visits Damascus

Syrian president Bashar al Assad accepted the United arabian Emirates abroad Minister on Wednesday in Damascus. This is further evidence of the progressive thaw in relations between Assad and the Emirates that erstwhile supported Syrian rebels.

According to the arabian press, the UAE may search to participate in Syrian-Turkish talks on normalizing relations.

The UAE was 1 of the first arabian countries to decide to “make peace” with Assad. In late 2018, the Emirates reopened their embassy in Damascus and began lobbying in Washington on the abolition of sanctions from Syria.
