In the upcoming presidential elections, which will be held on May 18, 2025, seniors and people with disabilities will be able to usage free transport to the polling stations. This convenience, introduced by the amendment to the Electoral Code, aims to increase the accessibility of the electoral process and encourage more citizens to vote. Does it work? We only know the cost of specified an undertaking in 2024, which reached PLN 19,361,345.96 (local and European Parliament elections).
