Donald Trump's way to politics led through tv entertainment. Long years before the 2017 election, thanks to appearing on a large and tiny screen, he gained celebrity status. A fewer bankruptcies did not prevent him from sounding successful. The road was winding, but in the spirit of overcoming embarrassment. Entering the politics planet only sharpened Trump's media skills.
Deprived of the sense of embarrassment, he effectively scored opponents in debates. And this is important: completely artificial, but created by the planet of "reality show", in the 21st century it seemed more natural than politicians.
It was only after the fact that we realized that the planet of amusement and business had colonized the planet of politics. During and after the campaign, Trump promotes and sells products as if the concept of a "conflict of interests" never existed. He so changes the rules of the game.
Blind customs policy is now presented as a thoughtful game plan. Disasters are presented as successes. And it inactive catches the attention of old and fresh media. In 1 of the Anglo-Saxon broadcasts, journalists critical of Trump's political line admitted that without talking about the current U.S. President, their scope fell.

All this is happening during our presidential campaign. In the light of the Chinese-American struggles for economical dominance of the conflict of our candidates seems to be deprived of any gravity. Yes, the president will be head of the army, and the times of peace are long gone.
However, we know – even with the highest level of Polish military statements – that our resources do not let us to presume that our war with Russia would last longer alone. 1 of the generals suggests our army wouldn't defend itself for 2 weeks. So, if you take these remarks virtually – it would fight worse than the Ukrainian army. It's creepy.
Horse Mountain
At the time, the most crucial issue of Polish policy is who took it and who did not take part in the debate, where it took place and who was behind its organization. True, these are not specified trifles from the point of view of the fairness of the election process in 2025. However, at a time erstwhile global shuffling is ongoing, our disputes seem to be out of the question.
This can be understood, of course, by verbal duels being adapted to our abilities. Moreover, the constitutional presidential powers do not encourage a charge with promises. erstwhile individual breaks out with excessive obligations, as the debate has shown, it just seems ridiculous.

Without cooperation with Donald Tusk's government, the winner will rapidly find himself in the tight shoes of Andrzej Duda. The Namestnikowski Palace is either a place for premature political retirement or a halt on the road to greater power in the future.
So there are strong winds around, although for Poland for more than 3 decades past has proved gracious. It's amazing in our history. But it is.
Compared to many, many places in the world, we live in a prosperous country, although our influence is far limited – for global customs scandals, for stocks of power in the Pacific or even for the effectiveness of all NATO. The situation is paradoxical. And the mirrors of this situation are presidential elections.
Paper punches
Is there something about this collision of perspectives – global and Polish – in 2025? In fact, the only moral is that, in order for our voice to number at all, it should not be a double vote or a cacophony. It is best for the president to rule, who deals with the current government. However, contrary to appearances, the choice of Trzaskovsky does not warrant this.
We remember how Leszek Miller and Aleksandr Kwasniewski practiced rough relationship – although they came from the same politically akin camp. To any extent, we have been watching a replay of Andrzej Duda for years, to which Jarosław Kaczyński and his surroundings are not overly impressed (euphemism).
Another conclusion is that we should most likely change the constitution sensiblely to strengthen the executive power, but with the current polarization, there is no chance. The only thing that adds spice to the election is treating them as a sparring in absentia the real leaders of their camps – Jarosław Kaczyński and Donald Tusk. But they retreated to their political beds.
Well, it seems surreal, therefore, not without reason. It's hilarious at best. Unfortunately, more and more embarrassing and politically boring. It's something that reminds us of president Trump.
