Poles measure relations with the US. They fear tensions

Donald Trump returned to the White House, announcing a return to the American First policy and introducing decisive action on migration and safety issues among others. His movements are besides closely observed in Poland, where they rise concerns about the possible simplification of US engagement in Europe and tensions in NATO.

Poles are afraid of worsening relations with the US

In an UCE investigation poll commissioned by Onetu, we asked Poles the question: "Do you think Poland's relations with the US will deteriorate in the current word of Donald Trump?".

This opinion is shared by 46.9% of those surveyed ("yes definitely" chose 17.5% and 29.4%). Another opinion is 30.1% of the survey participants (the "decidedly not" chose 6%, alternatively "not" 24.1%). The answer "I don't know/hard to say" selected 23 percent of the respondents.

Taking into account political preferences, most frequently Polish and US supporters (64.6 percent of them) and Left (61.7% of them) spoke about worsening Poland's relation with the US. little often, the sympathizers of Law and Justice (48.9 percent of them), the Civic Coalition (46.4 percent of them) and the Confederation (42.5 percent of them) are of the opinion.

The survey was conducted on 22-24 March 2025 with the CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interview) method by ACE investigation for Onet portal on a example of 1008 Poles aged 18-80.
