Katja Kullmann in her book sheds light on the increasing mass of “single women” – from a suffragette who fought for electoral law, through a “new woman” from the Weimar Republic, to an allegedly lonely contemporary scholar. A fragment of the book in Agata Teperek's translation is published on the occasion of the upcoming gathering of the author with Polish readers and readers in the Nuremberg home in Krakow.
