“You kind out half of your life and then you spend 5 nights in trenches. And there's hundreds of plastic cups, bullets, burnt equipment around. The animals are in shock. Rabbits, gophers, birds. Disoriented home dogs, feral huskies and chihuahuas, run in packes and eat each other. It's a very apocalyptic painting. However, we know that this is unfortunately the price of war, and the Russians are guilty," says Olena Apczel, theatre director, activist, soldier.
