U.S. president Donald Trump has stated that he never promised that the United States would not get active in fresh wars. In an interview with NBC, he defended the conflict with Iran, which has been going on for more than 3 months, argued that its end is near, and referred to the rising costs of the war and the maintenance of American troops in the mediate East.
