From PLN 200 for the private to PLN 660 gross for the general – Ministry of National Defence presented proposals for increases for professional soldiers. The draft regulation with fresh military wage rates has already reached interministerial arrangements. Higher salaries of soldiers are to be received in March, with equalization from the beginning of the year.
According to the Budget Act from 1 January 2026, the base amount, which is next to the multiplier 1 of the elements of military wages, increased by 3 percent points (from PLN 2193.21 to PLN 2259.11). The establishment of circumstantial amounts of remuneration for professional soldiers, dependent on grades and posts, remained the work of the Minister of National Defence. On Tuesday, a draft regulation on fresh salaries was published on the pages of the Government Legislative Centre. According to MON's proposals, they will increase from PLN 200 to PLN 660 gross.
The biggest increases, ranging from PLN 290 to PLN 660, await elder officers. Depending on the group to which the position is assigned, the salaries of the brigade generals will increase from 440 to 470 PLN, the lieutenant colonels from 320 to 340 PLN, and the majors from 290 to 300 PLN. The junior officers, including captains and lieutenants, will receive a higher wage of PLN 270 to PLN 280. The elder Officers of the MON offered a rise of PLN 250, and the junior officers offered a rise of PLN 220 to 230.
The smallest increases were provided for the professional serial corps. PLN 210 more will be received all period by older private specialists, and the wage of older private and private will increase by PLN 200. Thus the wage of the latter, the lowest in the military for professional soldiers, will be PLN 6500. They will besides receive the same amount soldiers of voluntary essential military service Or the first year of military studies.
After the entry into force of the regulations, the average military wage of professional soldiers will be over PLN 10 1000 (increase by PLN 291,49). However, as the representatives of the MON point out, the amount of the increase is not only an increase in basic salaries. – Soldiers will besides receive a higher allowance for long-term military service. The planned amount besides includes money for the growth of the "Thirteen" for 2026, which will be paid in the first 4th of 2027 – explains the ministry. The yearly costs associated with the entry into force of the MON regulations were estimated at almost PLN 540 million.
The wages for professional soldiers shall be determined by multiplying the base amount by a circumstantial multiplier (multiple base amount). While the base amount has increased, the multiplier, as determined by the President's Regulation, has remained unchanged and is presently 4.43.
The draft regulation is contained in interministerial arrangements. The fresh rates are to be paid by the end of the first 4th with an adjustment from the fresh year.
