Saint Barbara was 1 of the most popular saints during the mediate Ages. She was considered to be the patron saint not only of a good death, but besides an intercessor who was to intercede to God with a request for health, protection from illness and abrupt death. It is worshipped by the seriously ill, but besides by soldiers and people of hard, hard work.
