Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif present reported that Islamabad is ready to mediate talks between the US and Iran to resolve the conflict in the mediate East.
"Pakistan welcomes and full supports ongoing efforts towards a dialog to end the mediate East war in the interests of peace and stableness in the region and beyond," said Prime Minister Sharif on X. He added that Pakistan is ready to host specified talks if the United States and Iran agree.
Pakistan is 1 of respective countries that sought to mediate between Washington and Tehran.
US president Donald Trump reported on Monday that the United States is negotiating with Iran, but the Tehran authorities have denied it.
On Sunday, the White home confirmed that Pakistani army commander Asim Munir had spoken to Trump to discuss the conflict that has been going on since 28 February.
As he transferred the Axios portal and Reuter's agency to a gathering of the American and Iranian delegation in Pakistan could happen this week.
White home spokesperson Karoline Leavitt did not deny these reports, but said that specified “speculations” should not be “considered confirmed until officially announced by the White House”.
Qatar, Turkey and Egypt were mentioned as another places of possible negotiations – the British paper “Guardian” wrote, adding that Tehran's sources like Islamabad.
