Package of transportation contracts for the Polish army

The Armed Forces Agency contracted modern equipment for the Polish Army. Contract packages include electronic designation systems from the Swedish Saab Group, Turkish radio-electronic combat systems and advanced Leopard 2PLM1 tank simulators from the Polish company. These investments are crucial for the construction of an integrated state defence.

The Armed Forces Agency has signed 3 contracts for the acquisition of military equipment. “These are systems that aim to build an integrated defence of the Polish state, especially in the airspace”, said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence after signing contracts.

Subject substance of the first contract concluded with the company Saab is the acquisition of an electronic designation strategy for the detection, measurement of signal parameters and recognition of radiolocation emanation sources (air defence and anti-aircraft radars and air platforms).

The value of the contract is about EUR 130 million. Deliveries are to be implemented by 2030 and the strategy will operate at respective levels, from tactical level to operational level. “Electronic designation is essential both in the air and on land, so that we can respond in an appropriate way,” said the head of the MON. He besides stressed that Saab is simply a proven partner.

The second agreement was concluded with the Turkish company ASELSAN Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş and concerns the supply of an automated reconnaissance and disruptive strategy designed to carry out radio-electronic combat (watching, defence and radio-electronic attack) by sub-chapters at tactical level. The order amounts to about PLN 2 billion gross. Deliveries are to be made by 2035. But as the typical of the company provided during the conference, she will make efforts to get there before the time, which besides depends on the Polish side.

As the Deputy Prime Minister pointed out, this is an introduction to the large agreement on the anti-drone defence strategy in the SAN programme we are preparing for. “We are at the end of the talks, negotiations are underway with the consortium, which has been selected as a partner for our Armed Forces Agency to conduct these talks,” said Kosiniak-Kamish.

Third contract with Polish company Autocomp Management Sp. z o.o. concerns the acquisition of six tank simulators Leopard 2 PLM1. As Roman Haberek, a typical of the company, pointed out, referring to planet trends, as many as 70–80 percent of training should be conducted on a simulator. The value of the contract is about PLN 100 million, and deliveries are to be made between 2028 and 2029. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that he was pleased that the Polish company would be the contractor. “Poland’s private company, due to the fact that we are putting a sign of equality between the state and private industry”, concluded the minister.
