Finland and Sweden strengthen NATO's northern flank

Minister Jonson met during Cold consequence 26 exercise with Finnish defence Minister Anttim Häkkänen and Norwegian Minister Tore O. Sandvik. As the Swedish minister stressed, "we are strengthening NATO's deterrence and defence attitude in northern Europe." According to a joint message by the 3 defence ministers, the task of the extended NATO Land Forces (FLF) should be created this year, at the latest before the NATO summertime summit in Ankara. The task has already been submitted by another countries: Norway, Denmark, France, Italy, large Britain and Iceland.
