Ordo Iuris: The end of Poland and the beginning of Europe?
date:17 November 2023 Editor: Anna

Ladies and gentlemen,
Poland faced the most serious threat to our national sovereignty after 1989. 267 amendments to the EU Treaties were addressed to the European Parliament. This is simply a revolutionary change, which is intended to yet remove the sovereignty of the associate States of the European Union in all strategical areas. Life, family, freedom and national interest would depend on decisions taken on the Paris-Brussels- Berlin axis.
Our analytical activities not only uncover the scope of the threat, but besides propose directions for action and service to mobilise public opinion. Even a broad coalition of Liberals and Lefts in the fresh Sejm will not be able to ratify revolutionary changes unless there is simply a gross violation of the Constitution.

Our lawyers are already guarding the constitutional protection of the sovereignty of our Homeland.

The package of amendments to the Treaties of the European Union provides for the removal of the right of veto from Poland. The adoption of a majority counting mechanics will let key decisions to be taken even with the opposition of half the EU associate States, if 50% of the EU population votes in favour of the decision. This means that the European Union-wide policy will be decided by the coalition of Germany and France with respective smaller EU countries. Poland's opposition – even if supported by many associate States – will not matter.

This applies not only to migration, agriculture, the economy and global affairs. The Union is to gain fresh competences in health, energy, climate, industrial and educational policies. The sex equality policy is to officially replace the sex equality policy. Brussels is to make common standards for education on "governments of law" and "democracy" for all countries. It is besides intended to be called the Defence Union, which will be able to have Polish armed forces without the approval of the government in Warsaw or against the decisions of the president of Poland as established by the Constitution of the Armed Forces. This is an apparent blow to Polish national safety and the effectiveness of NATO.

The draft amendments explicitly mention to the communist imagination of a forceful unification of Europe written by Altiero Spinelli, whose name is taken by both the building of the European Parliament and an influential group of extremist federalists, in which the board – alongside the well known for insulting Poles Guy Verhofstadt – sits by Radosław Sikorski and Danuta Hübner. In his celebrated “Manifest of Ventotene” Spinelli wrote that "the dictatorship of the revolutionary organization will make a fresh state, and around it – a new, real democracy".

Experts of Ordo Iuris already in 2019 prepared the first Polish translation of Manifesto, in which we warned that Eurocrats were implementing Spinelli's ideas. 2 years ago, we wrote about the consequences of imposing the EU federalization on sovereign nations in a study prepared together with Collegium Intermarium "Between Europe of Nations and a Superstate". It is clear present that our fears have proved to be right.

The paper voted on on October 25 will give Eurocrats the tools to force the conservative peoples of our region to adopt an highly ideological agenda. The introduction of the concept of "gender" into the treaties and the taking into account the Union's competences of wellness policy issues means the transfer of decisions to Brussels in areas of peculiar interest to the abortion lobby and LGBT ideologists.

Soon European government will impose abortion on us "on request", adoption of children by single-sex couples, reimbursement of in vitro procedures for single-sex couples, vulgar sexual education without respect for parents' educational rights.

Defending Polish sovereignty, lawyers of Ordo Iuris published a legal comment on the proposals for amendments to the European treaties before voting. We have pointed out precisely the proposals for changes that clearly affect national sovereignty.

The paper adopted by the Committee on Constitutional Affairs will now be discussed by the European Parliament, in which the federalists have a majority. If voted on, the procedure for amending the European Treaties will begin. Even then, the amendment of the Treaties will require a unanimous decision by all associate States. The Polish constitution requires for ratification of the agreement limiting the Polish sovereignty of acceptance of a majority of 2/3 of the Sejm (307 MPs at full attendance) and 2/3 of the legislature (67 senators at full attendance). This means that Donald Tusk's "Red Coalition" will deficiency as many as 59 votes in the Sejm and 1 vote in the Senate. It is so our occupation to keep this advantage and effectively halt ratification.

The greater the number of countries convinced to defend sovereignty and to argue the plan to build a European superstate, the greater the chance that the majority federalists will not be able to break their opposition. Therefore, we are constantly developing our global cooperation network, convincing the analytical centres and politicians of another associate States to argue the draft amendments. A lot will depend on our commitment and consequences.
