Orban: halt transit of crucial goods for Ukraine

Hungary will halt the transit of goods crucial to Ukraine until the country restores the Russian oil transport via the “Friendship” pipeline, announced on Kossuth by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban today.

– We have stopped exports of diesel to Ukraine, we keep exports of electricity, but we will halt transit through Hungary of goods crucial to Ukraine until we get Ukraine's approval for oil supplies," said Orban.

– The Ukrainians will run out of money faster than we will have oil," he added.

In the opinion of the Hungarian Prime Minister, he and his government "stand in the way of Ukraine, which for this reason wants to free them".

– They have no choice but to usage threats. They will be able to comply with their demands if a pro-Ukrainian government is established in Hungary," he said.

– We will not fulfil the call to decision distant from Russian energy resources, we will not pay for another's war and we will not let Ukraine to join the European Union," Orban stressed today.
