Prime Minister Viktor Orban interviewed Radio Kossuth from Brussels. "We were arguing until late night hours," said the Prime Minister as associate State leaders had to discuss the EU budget by late night hours.

He informed that the budget had 2 main objectives: expenses related to migration and financing of the war in Ukraine. There were besides 2 smaller ones: the creation of reserves and wage increases for Brussels bureaucrats. "The full proposal is unfit for major negotiations", so it was rejected and addressed for further consideration.

During the interview Orbán besides spoke about the situation related to the war in Ukraine. "Hungary neither want nor can support Ukraine". According to Orban, whatever we do, we request a strategy before we spend our money. "The biggest problem is that the strategy adopted in Brussels in the face of this war failed". According to him, it was a mistake to encourage Ukraine to open war and give it money and military equipment. "Until there was a realistic script that Ukraine could win, it was any strategy, but Ukrainians cannot win on the front and all military losses admit it," the Prime Minister said. Now I'm ashamed to admit that the erstwhile strategy has deceived.

We request a plan B for Ukraine," said the Prime Minister. "We will not agree with the current leaders in Brussels," he said, referring to next year's elections to the European Parliament and the fact that dealing with the war in Ukraine is simply a problem of leadership. We request to find EU leaders who will be able to coordinate the work of Heads of Government, and Brussels must besides make changes in migration and economical policy, due to the fact that absurd economical ideas are presently being promoted. That is why we request unity in the country so that the government can negociate with large support, and that is why further national consultations will begin.

Orbán explained that erstwhile it comes to migration, Hungary is in a better position than in 2015: "For years I fought German force to bring migrants". But erstwhile it comes to migration, we gotta think long-term. "Today almost all country says the same thing as Hungary in 2015. Our position prevailed," he said. And the Hungarian model works well due to the fact that only those who qualify can come to us. "There is inactive much to be done in Brussels to make Hungary's position understood, due to the fact that they live like a bubble," he stressed.
