The Frankfurt Opera and the icon of the russian avant-garde, or the return of woman Macbeth

When you talk about music relationships with politics, the name Shostakowicz usually falls first. Especially in the context of the opera "Lady Macbeth of the Mceński district", it is hard not to mention that for political reasons this work put the composer in grave danger. For respective years German theatres have been eager to return to this title, the Frankfurt staging is not 1 of the most interesting, but conductor Thomas Guggeis provides high-level music, which is worth hearing.
