Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, 3 charges have been repeated against the environment of “Polish Thoughts”, so besides against me. any attack our political environment as rusophiles, endecite onuces, and Putin's supporters. Others compose precisely the other about us – your line is anti-rossy, besides centrist and criticizing Putin. The 3rd group, in turn, says, now don't compose about Russia due to the fact that it's badly seen. We gotta wait. The others frequently add that the Russians read us besides and we should take that into account. I think all 3 opinions are wrong.
As long as any readers accuse us of “Thinking” pro-Russianism, and others anti-Russianism remains convinced that in Russian matters it is spelled appropriately. due to the fact that the determinant of our line is not pro-Russianity, nor anti-Russianity only and only pro-policity. First of all, the nation but besides the Polish state is the only link for us. I am glad, of course, that we are besides read by readers from the East. However, it has never been, and it will never be, that texts will be modified to satisfy individual outside Poland.
And just as the once-undead fellow Mariusz Urban of the Sopot National Movement wrote about the "pro-Soviet anti-communist option", present it is possible to specify the "Think" environment without the anti-war option. If the view that the Russians are “reading us and we should take this into account” is meant to mean that we are to be frightened, it has completely missed the goal. "Thinking Poland" despite harassment and difficulties in publishing is an independent letter, and if always this independency would be threatened, I powerfully believe that colleagues Jan Engelgard and Przemysław Piasta will say "Non possumus". We are not curious in being a writing typical of the Russian interest. This would not be a national-democratic line, and this is what is present in reasoning about politics in our environment.
But let's ask ourselves present – is there area for an option free from russophobia present in 2023? Many of the friends whom I value, and they have worked to bring Polish-Russian closer together and normalize relations between our countries, present they are having a hard time. I myself admit that at the time of the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian War I thought – this is the posthumous triumph of Targalski and the large joy of Macerewicz.
In my opinion, 2 things request to be realized. War 1 day – hopefully shortly – will end and our geographical location will stay the same. What seems unreal present may become a fact in 2 or 3 years. Today, processes in a globalised planet are accelerating. We request to plan to safe the interests of the Polish people both in the country and in our erstwhile Borderlands. We must realize Russia, as the Primate of Wyszyński understood it. Minister for Confessions of the period of Polish People's Republic Kazimierz Kąkol in a conversation with Teresa Toranska in the book “Beyla” mentioned the words of the Primate Stefan Wyszyński – “It is Germany, Minister, who is the biggest threat to Polish existence and will endanger us always, so we have no choice but to thin against the Slavic wall. And due to the fact that it is red – hard – specified a reality.”
I am, of course, in favour of good relations with Russia. I consistently believe from the very beginning that the war in Ukraine is detrimental to Poland and I would barely support it. In general, I do not support wars, and on average I believe in theories about righteous wars – although many colleagues convince me that they do. I think they're inevitable. And I know for a fact that 1 day they end. Just due to the fact that I advocate a better relation in the future with our biggest neighbor. Not due to the fact that I love Russia so much, but due to the fact that it is in the interests of Poland. And not only with Russia, but with all its neighbours – especially with Germany and Belarus.
I believe that Russia must be the subject of careful analysis and critical assessments – besides in the pages of Polish Thought. If we think about improving Polish-Russian relations in the future, then the Russian Federation must observe and effort to specify the processes taking place inside. effort to read the processes going on inside this country. Read the statements of Russian politicians and analysts. To reject spells saying that all that's associated with Russia is evil, as well as those saying that you live there like in the biblical Paradise.
For present we must stay critical of the propaganda of both parties in mass-media, keep the sobriety of judgement and think in the future, little perceive to abroad whispers, reject all pro-war actions, aid wisely and effectively Poles in the East and remember that the most crucial for us is always the Polish nation.
