On January 1st, a fresh commune was established in Poland. Now it wants to be a wellness resort

- The creation of a fresh local government unit will give our town the chance to develop, the chance to usage its assets and natural materials that are located here. And it is primarily about medicinal waters - says Janusz Marek Opyd, presently acting as the authorities of the Szczawa commune, i.e. the mayor and council. The commune was established on January 1, 2025 in the Limanowa territory in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, and was separated from the Kamienica commune.
