In accordance with the agreement concluded between the Department of Cultures of Asia and Africa (WKAiA) and the survey of east Europe (SEW) The Faculty Election Commission of WKAiA was authorised to hold elections to the survey Council. Elections will take place on 23 January 2026 from 7:00 to 12:00 via the surveyer strategy and will be conducted in 3 groups
- electoral meetings of professors, university professors and habilitated doctors
Active electoral rights shall apply to all persons irrespective of the word of office. Passive electoral rights shall be accorded to persons employed in the survey of at least 1/2 jobs. There are 5 seats to be filled; a vote may be cast for a maximum of 5 persons.
- electoral gathering in the group of another academic teachers
Active electoral rights shall apply to all persons irrespective of the word of office. Passive electoral rights shall be accorded to persons employed in the survey of at least 1/2 jobs. There are mandates to be filled; a vote may be cast for a maximum of 4 persons.
- a gathering of non-academic staff to elect a associate of the SEW technological Council.
Active and passive electoral rights shall apply to all persons belonging to this group regardless of the word of office. There shall be 1 mandate to be filled; a vote may be cast for a maximum of 1 person.
The election rules are set out in the SEW Regulations of 4 December 2025 (https://monitor.uw.edu.pl/Lists/Uchway/Attachments/7617/M.2025.407.Zarz.179.pdf). Applicants for the mandate can be submitted in individual or through a 3rd organization by submitting 2 documents: consent and statements (you can download them from the website: http://www.ukw.uw.edu.pl/text.php?cat=28). These papers should be forwarded to WKW WKAiA associate Robert Wąs during the working hours of the Dean of the Department of Cultures of Asia and Africa, 26/28 Krakowskie Przedmieście Street, a porektor building until 15 January 2026. The Commission cannot accept paper scans.
A list of applicants will be sent to you before the election. A link to the poller and an explanation of the voting procedure will be sent to those entitled to vote on election day.
Individuals employed at the same time as administrative and teaching posts can only participate in 1 vote. They should so notify the Commission in which group they want to be included.
