Since 2024, the EU has imposed duties ranging from around 7.8% to up to 35.3% on Chinese electrical cars, and is presently discussing further restrictions — for all types of cars.
Reason? The investigation showed that Chinese producers are heavy subsidised by the State, which gives them an unfair price advantage.
But who will be hit by restrictions on selling Chinese cars?
First of all, mediate - class families — not those who buy a Mercedes or an Audi for half a million dollars. It's about households looking for a new, reliable car in the budget of 80–120,000 PLN. Chinese manufacturers present offer vehicles in this section that compete in terms of equipment and technology with European models costing much more.
Globalisation has served the elite for years, and as it begins to benefit average people, it is reduced.
