“When 2 and a half years ago I was assigned specified a liable role, I knew that I was the head of professionals. At that time, I set myself a clear goal: to make a modern, strong and responsive centre to the challenges of the 21st century. Today, looking at how our university has changed, I can say with all work that we have done our tasks well. Over the years, we have faced challenges together. A number of investments in infrastructure, modernisation of laboratories, modernisation of the teaching base or acquisition of innovative training equipment are not just numbers in reports. This is simply a real foundation for the safety of our homeland. We created conditions in which military discipline and craft combine at the highest global level. all modern trainer, modernized building or fresh course of survey is our common brick in building strong Armed Forces.”
In his speech, Dr Dariusz Wait stressed:
"After 25 years of service in operational units, contingents and military missions, I was assigned to our Alma Mater. This decision came to me during a mission to support Ukraine under the NATO safety Assistance and Training for Ukraine. This is peculiarly crucial due to the fact that the tasks carried out there bring closer the image of modern war and teach the meaning of the word adaptation, and in peculiar adaptation to changes in the battlefield. In assuming the position of Rector-Commander of the Academy of Land Forces, I would like to share this experience and at the same time draw on the intellectual achievements of the academy, from the experience of teaching, investigation and commanding staff. And all this to prepare our graduates to meet the expectations of the Armed Forces and the challenges they will face in the future."
The musical setting of the ceremony was taken care of by the Representation Orchestra of the Land Army from Wrocław.
On the occasion of the completion of the function of Rector General of Arms in St. const. dr Marek Tomaszycki, Prof. AWL received many letters issued by the commanders of units, training centres and universities both Polish and foreign.
