Nicodemus Rachoń, erstwhile spokesperson of the Polish Embassy in Washington, D.C., brother of writer Michał Rachonia, announced his decision to the media squad of the president of the Republic of Poland in Warsaw.
His fresh function marks the end of a four-year mission in the capital of the United States, during which he served as a spokesperson and coordinator of media relations of the highest officials of the Polish government.
Rachon shared this message in a individual statement, expressing his excitement and gratitude for the experience gained during his work at the embassy.
These 4 years were amazing, challenging, but besides very satisfying. It was a real discrimination to work with a squad of wonderful and hardworking people in the most prestigious Polish abroad mission – he wrote in social media.
Nikodem Rachon: Poland's media presence was unprecedented
His mission in Washington was to a period of intense global events, including Russia's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. Poland, a close neighbour of Ukraine, played a key function in coordinating support for the country, while strengthening its relations with NATO and the US.
"The media presence of Polish officials in the US during these 4 years was unprecedented, and I am arrogant to have been able to service as a spokesperson for the Embassy," said Rachon.
In the fresh function Rachon will coordinate global media relations for president Andrzej Duda and another officials in the Chancellery of the President. His experience gained in the US, including many meetings and interviews with representatives of the biggest media, is to be invaluable in building the image of the Polish president internationally.

Rachon, however, does not forget his media contacts in the United States, encouraging them to proceed contact.
"To all my media contacts in Washington and fresh York – delight do not hesitate to contact me straight whenever you want to hear president Andrzej Duda's thoughts on the current issues. I'm happy to help!” he wrote.
