The Minister of National Defence signed an order amending the regulations concerning the appearance of women serving in the Polish army. The most crucial news is the ladies' hairstyle in the service. From now on, they can have hair reaching up to half their backs and comb their ponytails or braids. Haircuts must not make it hard to wear headgear or to carry out duties.
The modified rules aim to adapt the regulation to modern standards while taking into account the specificity of military service. The order of the Minister of National Defence of 24 October introduces changes to the General Regulation of the Polish Army soldier concerning the appearance of military persons.
The most crucial news is the hairstyle rules women serving in the Polish army And the dimension of their hair. From now on, ladies in uniforms can wear short or tight hair at the back of the head with a maximum dimension of up to half the back. So far, women may have had hair dissolved reaching up to the collar or longer, but tensed in coke.
What hairstyles are allowed now? Under the fresh order, it is permissible to comb in the form of a single pony or braid. ‘A soldier female may have hair short or tight at the back of the head reaching up to half her back. He can shave his head. It is allowed to soak hair type: a single pony or a single braid" – the order is specified.
As highlighted in the document, the hairstyle must not interfere with wearing a headgear. It must besides not impede the performance of duties and must comply with the principles of wellness and safety at work in its post. The paper besides presents drawings and photographs of the exemplary appearance of a female soldier.
The provisions entered into force on the date of the announcement of the order of Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in the authoritative diary of the Minister of National Defence, that is 27 October.
