Swedenselected as a partner in submarine acquisition programme for Poland, she undertook, among others, to acquisition a rescue ship built in the Polish shipyard - the Deputy Prime Minister, the head of MON Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, informed.
Kosiniak-Kamysz estimated at the Wednesday press conference that the possible deadline for signing the executive contract for the supply of submarines was the second 4th of next year. However, as he admitted, it will be a fewer years before the ships are delivered. According to him, the first submarine could scope Poland in 2030.
To keep the capabilities of Polish sailors, they would start training in 2026, and in 2027 they would gain access to the alleged gap filler, or older Swedish ship, which would be utilized for training.
