The Pope received an different gift from Poland. Just before the general audience in Vatican, Leon XIV was given a gift... a white steed.
The Arabian horse named Proton comes from the stud in Kołobrzeg-Budzistów and was handed over by Andrzej Michalski, owner of the riding centre. The thought for an different gift was born erstwhile the donor learned about Pope's passion for horses and horse riding. Leon XIV is an experienced rider. During his ministry in Peru between the villages, he just moved to the top.
When the horse was seen, the pope did not hide joy and led the steed in the courtyard. The horse will go to the papal summertime residence in Castel Gandolfo.
