[Germany last June announced the transfer of a military aid package to Ukraine containing, among others, multi-purpose armored vehicles BATT UMG 4x4 or everywhere Bv 206](https://defence24.pl/war-on-Ukrainian-report-special-defence24/German-send-Ukrainian-transportery-and-robots). They were to be supplied by FFG, from which they were purchased by the German government. It was previously speculated that under the military aid package to Kiev the heavier Fuchs armored transporters would hit, but the company's offer was to be much more favourable, so Berlin utilized it (it does not surprise us that we combine the armored car with KTO 6x6). Thus, it was decided to get BATT UMG from the intermediary alternatively than the manufacturer. At the time, it could be assumed that this was dictated, for example, by the possession of vehicles already in the state of FFG, making their price attractive. A full of 66 vehicles were to be delivered.
