Elżbieta Penderecka rested next to her husband in the National Pantheon in the crypts of the church of Peter and Paul in Krakow. During the ceremony, she was posthumously honored with the Cross of the Grand Order of Polonia Restituta. "We say goodbye to the first woman of Polish classical music" - said the Minister of Culture Marta Cienkowska.
