New “Lada” for scrap. The defeat of the Russian submarine program?

There are more and more indications that “Sankt-Peterburg” - a prototype submarine of task 677 kind “Lada” will be scrapped. Its modernization to a method condition acceptable to the Russian Navy and constant repairs prove besides expensive. Meanwhile, this ship is 12 years old, which is little than the inactive serving submarines of task 877 (according to NATO kind Kilo).
