Disturbing distortions of GPS signal again appeared over Poland. The increasing area of the country found itself in the red alert zone, indicating the highest level of alert – red.


The distortion of the GPS signal over Poland is presently reaching an alarming level. Signal monitoring maps indicate that a large part of the country is in the red region marking the highest level of interference.

Such serious disturbances can have a real impact on safety – not only for drone users, but besides for civilian aviation, shipping or even road transport.

It is not excluded that interference can be the consequence of deliberate actions conducted from the circuit by Russian radio-electronic combat systems – there were already akin signals and situations.

Although navigation systems utilized in aviation have safety features, the escalation of specified activities can seriously disrupt even the operation of transport and communication in the country.

This is not the first time we have specified a situation in Poland. On June 17, the head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs spoke about this in the programme "Graffiti" on Polsat News. He stressed that the situation was serious and needed decisive action.

– Since this is happening on a tiny speckle – I am talking about the confederate Baltic – it besides affects others, so this is absolutely unacceptable – said Tomasz Siemoniak.

Before that, the head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs did not regulation out that Moscow was behind it.

And he added: – Looking at the Russian-Ukrainian war, or looking at the Israeli-Iran War, it is simply a GPS signal, tracking, navigation, they become critical elements of these conflicts and of course we must draw conclusions from it and guarantee the safety of our systems.

It was asked if Moscow could be behind these actions, the minister replied that "there is no uncertainty that Russia was involved." Tomasz Siemoniak added that the service has been dealing with this problem for a long time. They cooperate with authorities liable for air navigation and safety of the Polish space.

The head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs besides pointed out that specified incidents happen "too often" and cannot be underestimated. He stressed that this problem concerns not only Poland but besides our allies.

As we wrote at the time on Temat.pl, mysterious incidents involving drones besides occurred over Poland. The machines unexpectedly lose GPS signal and contact with operators, then fly off in unpredictable directions – often, if this happens on the coast, towards the Russian royal circuit.
