The presidential election of 2025 went into past as 1 of the most equalized in Poland. Following the announcement of the results by PKW, in which Karol Nawrocki won 50.89% of the vote and Rafał Trzaskowski 49.11%, both politicians exchanged public statements.
Trzaskowski thanks and congratulates Nawrock
Rafał Trzaskowski, interrupting his silence after announcing the results, published an emotional entry on platform X:
“Thank you for all vote. I fought to build Poland together strong, safe, honest, empathic. Modern Poland, where everyone will be able to fulfil their goals and aspirations. Thank you to everyone who voted for specified Poland. (...) I congratulate Charles Nawrock on winning the presidential election. This win obliges, especially in specified hard times. Especially with a score so even. Remember this.”
President-elect Karol Nawrocki did not leave this declaration unanswered. In his commentary he stressed the importance of national unity and made a promise:
"Poland is our duty, and the choice of the head of the State is simply a celebration of democracy for which our ancestors fought. The president of Poland represents all Poles. And I promise to be president of all of us.”
He besides added:
"Thank you, Mr. Rafale, for competing for the presidency of our beloved Homeland. You can be certain that always Poland, first Poles!”
What's next?
The elections showed how divided Polish society is, but besides that both candidates can keep the class at a crucial moment. Now the expectations for the fresh president are tremendous – both from his supporters and his opponents.
Will Karol Nawrocki keep his word and become president of all Poles? Time will tell.
