On Wednesday, Karol Nawrocki will be officially president of Poland. Meanwhile, his head of BBN Sławomir Cenckiewicz has a serious problem – he will not have access to classified information. Why? On Tuesday, the Minister for peculiar Services coordinator’s press secretary explained this.

"It is undisputed that Mr Sławomir Cenckiewicz does not have access to classified information in connection with ongoing judicial and administrative proceedings, as I have clearly shown in the erstwhile entry," Jacek Dobrzyński wrote on Tuesday.

New Head of the NSA without access to classified information

"The WSA ruling is not valid due to the fact that the NRPM filed, which is worth highlighting in time, a cassation complaint to the NSA. Everyone remembers that, under the Law and Justices' rule, judgments did not entitle access to classified information. The fact of having or not having a safety certificate in any case required and required confirmation by the ABW or the SKW, respectively," he pointed out.

"In connection with the criminal allegations made, Sławomir Cenckiewicz will not be given access to classified information under the law for revealing state secrecy" - he stressed. "The president has the right to appoint any individual to the position of Head of BBN," he concluded.

As we informed you, Karol Nawrocki, president-elect, organized a press conference on safety in early July. He said these issues would be a challenge for his presidency.

Head of BBN controversial historian

He added that the head of the National safety Bureau would be the controversial historian Sławomir Cenckiewicz. The same 1 with prosecutors charging with revealing military secrets.

– I would like to stress that the Bureau, which we are headed by, will not be a red tape of everything that will be a good government project, especially the Minister of National Defence or the Minister of Home Affairs and Administration, which will be in front of the defence of the state, our security, our strengthening our defence capabilities. In all this we will support the Polish government – said Sławomir Cenckiewicz at the press conference.

Importantly, the future Head of the NSA does not presently have crucial safety clearances that would let him to access classified information, including NATO and EU secrets. Nor did the conviction of the Provincial Administrative Court, which fell on June 17, change that.
