Ethics in business – an investment or a whim of regulators

Participants of the debate consistently pointed out that ethical action does not exclude profit, but they warned against excessive bureaucracy and the discrepancy between declared values and organizational reality. The focus was besides on the costs of implementing compliance requirements and the hazard of 'paper compliance'.
