Nawrocki's housing scandal. ABW message

The interior safety Agency did not engage and does not engage in the election run on the side of any of the candidates - stated the head of the ABW Colonel Rafał Syrysko on Monday.

It is simply a substance of surviving in Gdańsk, where Nawrocka and his wife Marta entered in 2017. According to PiS politicians, the media learned about the IPN president's flat and the circumstances of its acquisition through leaking information from his property statement.

ABW Statement

Ministry of abroad Affairs Jacek Dobrzyński published on social media message by the Head of the interior safety Agency Colonel Rafała Syrysko.

"With respect to false information provided by any media on the engagement of the interior safety Agency in the ongoing presidential campaign, I declare that, contrary to repeated insinuations, ABW at no phase and in no form has engaged or engaged in the run on the side or against any of the candidates" - read the statement.

The Head of the interior safety Agency stressed that specified information exposes the name of the service and of the ABW officers to "distorted" and so plans to take "applicable legal measures".

As he pointed out, formulating to the ABW "false allegations of the usage in the presidential run of any material from proceedings conducted in the ABW is Harmful to the safety of the Republic of Poland, the image of the service and in a way completely unauthorised disqualifies its activity as a state office and exposes the service to failure of social trust".

Onetu findings

Last week, Onet wrote that the presidential candidate supported by PiS Karol Nawrocki - contrary to his statements - is the owner of 2 housing units, not one; Apart from the flat where he and his household live, he besides has a studio flat in Gdańsk.

On Monday, the portal reported that in 2017 Jerzy Z. - the then owner of the studio - transferred it to Nawrocki and his wife in exchange for care and maintenance, that is, on the basis of a life contract. "There is no uncertainty that at the minute Nawrocki is not looking after or helping Mr Jerzy. We agreed that the man was placed in 1 of the state DPS in Gdańsk and that the employees of this facility are taking care of him" – Onet said.

Even before Monday's publication of Onetu, Nawrocki's staff spokeswoman Emilia Wierzbicki wrote in a message that Mr.Jerzy is the neighbour of the head of the IPN, whom he has been helping for many years, and that he gave money to the man to buy out the apartment, which he promised to hand over to Nawrock for his assistance. She pointed out that the head of the IPN had never lived or rented it, nor did he derive any benefit from it, nor did he pay for it to this day. Mr. George is inactive the owner of the apartment. "Contact with Mr. Jerzy disappeared in December 2024. (...) Karol Nawrocki tried to find him through his neighbours and friends, but unsuccessfully,” Nawrocki wrote in a message on X.

PiS MP Anna Gembicka estimated that the full situation was "unprecedented service engagement in election campaigns". In her opinion, in the case of Nawrocki, "information from the safety survey" was revealed, which was utilized by "journalists of Polish-speaking media with German capital".

The safety kit shall be completed, inter alia, in order to get a safety certificate, the bark is required in any positions. Before it is obtained, the examination procedure shall be conducted: ordinary, extended or special. The last 2 can only be conducted by ABW or SKW.
