If passed, the full number of reservists is expected to scope 1 million by 2031, noted the Ministry of Defence.Currently, serial soldiers are removed from the reserve at the age of 50, while officers leave at the age of 60.

The proposal will not apply back to persons over 60 years old. According to the Ministry, supplementary training for those aged 50-65 will be organised for those assigned war duties.
