Decision of president Charles Nawrocki to veto the bill on extending assistance to citizens Ukraine has caused immense emotions. In naTemat.pl we asked readers how they judged this decision of the head of state. In our probe conducted between 26 and 27 August, as many as 12,775 votes were cast within 24 hours, and the results show a division of opinion, although with a clear advantage of 1 emotion.
Karol Nawrocki has public support about Ukrainians
"As you justice the decision of president Nawrocki on vetoing the Ukrainian Aid Act" was the question put by our editorial board. Under it, the most, due to the fact that 54 percent of the votes, were given to respond "agree positively". Another 7% gained a "more positive" response. In total, this means that 61 percent of voters in the probe supported the head of state movement.
At the same time, as many as 30% of voters assessed the decision "decreasingly negative", and another 6% "more negative". So together, 36 percent of the votes were cast by disappointment or outrage with the actions of Karol Nawrocki.
Only 3% of the votes cast admitted that they were incapable to clearly measure fresh political and social events.
Poles, or divided society
The probe shows, therefore, that the substance of veto against the Ukrainian Aid Act importantly divides Polish society, but this time not adding in half. The results so reflect the broader political and social debate that is taking place around the Ukrainian exile policy in the country of Vistula.
