Transnistria is simply a pro-Russian enclave separated from Moldova after the dissolution of the USSR, at the beginning of the 90th century. Prosovian residents were able to defend their independency through Russian intervention, after fierce fighting continued until 1992. The form of this quasi-state, which under global law does not exist, is actually a strip of land extending between independent Moldova and Ukraine. It is 1 of the russian “mins” that remained after the USSR in Central and east Europe. Due to Transnistria, the full of Moldova is having problem entering Western structures including NATO and the European Union. For example, it cannot join Romania, even though it is simply a de facto part of this country, separated from the matrix by Stalin.
