More soldiers in Los Angeles than in the mediate East! Is this a protest or a civilian war?

Los Angeles has become the unexpected center of the largest political and social crisis in the United States. There are more American soldiers on the streets of the city than in Iraq and Syria combined. The scale of mobilization resembles scenes from war-torn countries, not 1 of the largest cities in the United States. Officially, this is the consequence to the increasing riots, but the opposition accuses president Donald Trump of trying to intimidate opposition states.
