Have you been on a mission abroad? Do you service or service in the Polish Army? Now it's time to take care of yourself. Take part in the “Health Mission” and go free, comprehensive tests to detect breast and cervical cancers. The preventive wellness program for veterans of military operations outside the country is starting on 17 June.
The wellness Mission task is simply a joint initiative of the Veterinary Centre for Activities outside the state borders and Military Medical Institute in Warsaw. – We address him to veterans who service or service in the Armed Forces of Poland and participate in military missions. This programme is simply a motion of concern for women who have dedicated themselves to serving the country, putting their wellness and their lives at risk, acting under a advanced intellectual burden and facing a real threat – he emphasises Colonel Dr. Katarzyna RałędowskaDirector of the Veteran Center.
The main nonsubjective of the wellness Mission is to conduct prevention studies among this group of women to detect breast and cervical cancers. This is 1 of the most common cancers affecting women, and their early detection increases the chances of full recovery.
Admission to the program is ongoing and the deadline for applications is 26 May. Just fill in the application card (you can receive it in the Veteran Centre) and send it to the email address of Sylvia Uran, the task coordinator from the Veteran Centre (== sync, corrected by elderman ==).
The first investigation will begin on 17 June at the Military Medical Institute at Szaserów Street in Warsaw. As part of the veterans' program, they will be able to execute gynaecological tests – including cytology and, depending on age, 1 of 2 breast tests. Ladies aged 45–55 are waiting for mammography, and young women (but over 30 years) will be offered a chest ultrasound.
No referral is required to usage the test. In the case of women in service, participation in the task will not mean taking leave or taking a medical leave. The organizers emphasize that the journey to Warsaw will take place as part of a business trip, and the costs of the accommodation will be covered by a military unit in which the associate serves. In the case of veterans who are already out of service, the organisation of access and accommodation will stay within their scope.
Research in Warsaw will besides be accompanied by workshops conducted in WIM to increase the wellness awareness of participants. There are planned meetings with psychologists, lectures on cancer prevention and breast self-examination.
Organizers announce that the “Health Mission” is to be cyclical. Subsequent investigation dates will be set on an ongoing basis and communicated to the women concerned. Each patient list will be determined on the basis of the order of the applications, so it is worth enrolling as shortly as possible and taking the chance for free studies.
