Sławomir Nitras and the ministry headed by him prepared an amendment to the athletics Act. It went through both chambers of parliament and hit the desk of the president of Poland. Andrzej Duda did not sign it, but addressed it to the Constitutional Court in the preventive control procedure. The causes and effects of this decision were the subject of a gathering of the Parliamentary Committee on Physical Culture, athletics and Tourism. "We cannot pretend that nothing happened," said the Minister of Sport.
