Love versus office. RPO v. ban on matrimony of SN and NSA judges

The ban, which in practice has forced judges of the ultimate Court and the ultimate Administrative Court to choose between private life and further ruling, has ceased to be an abstract legislative problem. The Ombudsman has received a request from the highest court officials who want to marry, but the law in force makes this decision a possible disciplinary delicacy. The RPO has no doubt: the current rules are disproportionate and violate the constitutional rights of judges. The case went to the Minister of Justice's desk.
