Sylvia was born in Canada in 2016. That's where her parents met. A fewer months after the birth of the girl, the parent became seriously ill, which forced the household to return to Poland. They settled in Królówka, a tiny village in Małopolska, where a household from Sylvia's parent lived.
After losing her mother's cancer fight, Sylvia became a central figure of household conflict. Initially, she was cared for by her grandmother, but my father decided to regain his right to a child. After 4 years, the court granted him this opportunity, although the man was in Canada and could not personally take Sylvia from Poland. In this situation, Grandma decided to hide with her granddaughter, hoping to intervene by 3rd parties.
The Ombudsman, Mikołaj Pawlak, took an interest in the case and took steps to resolve the conflict. He arranged a gathering with the lawyers of both sides, urging his grandmother's husband to contact him and convincing him to get out of hiding. Grandparents, trusting Pawlak, revealed the whereabouts of Anna and Sylvia, although they were aware that the judicial conviction was unambiguous and would not be able to keep the kid in Poland. Their goal was to prepare Sylvia to go to Canada, not to take her away.
Pawlak personally went to Rzeszów, where his grandma and Sylvia were staying, and persuaded her to return home and meet her grandparents on the part of her father. Then they agreed to let Sylvia’s father’s parents take the girl for a walk, but they never came back from it. They besides haven't returned any calls from their grandparents. A fewer days later, Sylvia was in Canada, but no 1 knew how she got to that country, as all the girl's papers were in the hands of her grandparents.
